Glocal Weekend on Climate Crisis
Are we still in with a chance to save the world? Or to preserve the viability of the human species on earth? Why do we make such heavy weather out of thinking ahead a few decades and doing what has to be done – and not doing what shouldn’t be done – to ward off a foreseeable catastrophe? Will the planet’s people pull together in solidarity to tackle this existential issue or will the “West” shirk its responsibilities at the expense of the global South? What can we do – as individuals and as Nurembergers – and what role can art, culture and theatre play? These and other questions will be explored by artists, experts and assorted metropolitans in the Staatstheater’s Schauspiel complex from 24th to 26th June 2022. The event: “Import/Export: Earth”, the global/local event dedicated to the climate catastrophe.
