XR/AR experience by Michael von zur Mühlen
What if we woke up tomorrow to find ourselves in a techno-fascist state? Who would still be able to help us? AI has long been used for coaching and therapeutic help with life, but what if it were trained to politicise instead of optimise us? To embed our individual experience within a multifaceted remembering of past and present movements? What might an emancipatory and subversive use of AI systems look like? We should begin to imagine an AI that “thinks” the resolution of societal contradictions and reports on solidarity-based social struggles—while we still can.
Artificial Archive of Resistance is the first part of the project Will the revolution not be AI scripted?, for which archival materials of phenomena of social protests serve as a data foundation for a complex AI system and its learning processes.
A co-production by Michael v. zur Mühlen with the Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Wiesbaden Festival for Performing Arts & Digitality (PAD) and ZiMMT Leipzig, realised in collaboration with the X-Reality-Lab at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Funded by the Fond Darstellende Künste aus Mitteln des Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, with the kind support of the Aventis Foundation and the Ernst-von-Siemens Musikstiftung, and supported by the Körber-Stiftung im Rahmen des Immersive History Lab. With content support from the Human Rights Clinic at the Centre for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg.
