Old buil­ding in a cen­tral lo­ca­ti­on

Two neighbours live in small, pre-war flats on Morris Street: Zoey, who works nights at a club, and Trisha, a pastry chef. While their landlord pressures them to move out—having already begun planning the building’s luxury renovation—Zoey finds herself increasingly haunted by musical ghosts from the 19th century. She counters this supernatural music with loud techno—much to the annoyance of Trisha, who cannot perceive the spirits but is kept awake by the nightly bass beats. Despite all these adversities, a tentative friendship begins to blossom between the two women. Yet moving out seems inevitable, and finding a new, affordable flat appears all but impossible. In "Altbau in zentraler Lage", resident playwright Raphaela Bardutzky blends the real-life horror of renting with imaginative ghostly thrills, creating a theatrical space where spoken language and German Sign Language meet.
