07.00 PM - 10.00 PM

Opernhaus

Abo W, Abo W1, Abo W2

Libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni, based on Carlo Gozzi and Friedrich Schiller

In Italian with German and English supertitles

Turandot pushes potential husbands away by asking her suitors riddles that they cannot solve. But Calaf seems to have answered the three questions with ease and is asking for the unapproachable princess' hand. What now?

Giacomo Puccini died while answering this question and left his opera incomplete. Nevertheless, Turandot remains one of his most beloved works, and in it he once again proves himself to be a virtuoso of piano and emotion. Director Kateryna Sokolova will tell us in Nuremberg whether Turandot can reject the love of the passionate Calaf.
