Uncle Drosselmeyer has a very special Christmas gift for Marie: a splendid nutcracker, whom she immediately takes to her heart. During the nocturnal battle against the Mouse King, she bravely stands by his side. In gratitude, the nutcracker invites her to the realm of the Sugar Plum Fairy. At the traditional Christmas Children's Concert, Pius Maria Cüppers narrates the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann.
