MU­SI­CAL DE­LI­CA­CIES – STOVE CON­CERT

Smoke-free ovens to replace cooking over an open fire – that is the mission of “Die Ofenmacher”, an association active in Nepal and other developing countries. Apart from lowering the incidence of burns and long-term health problems, ovens and stoves lead to a marked reduction in CO2 emissions. “Ofenmacher“ members have seized on our chamber-concert format to publicise their project and transport audience and Staatsphilharmonie musicians alike on a musical/culinary journey through different ages and cultures. Look forward to music by Georg Philipp Telemann, Clara Schumann, Bohuslav Martinu and Wim Henderickx – and some tasty examples of Nepalese cuisine.
