World premiere
The old dairy, abandoned, spooky and derelict, harbours dark secrets – the perfect backdrop for Malin’s video blog about twins who once lived there and spent their days dreaming of a better world. One day a man appears, a grubby, over-the-hill loner shuffling round the corner. Malin is intrigued by Joost, who has the same derelict aura as the dairy, and they begin to hang out together. But Bastl and Marcus jump to the conclusion that Joost is a wrong’un who should be watched like a hawk.
Caren Jeß’s new play is the tale of a friendship that can’t be conveniently pigeonholed. It also poses the question: Which prejudices have an important protective function and which end in disaster?
