Victor Ketelslegers was born in Brussels (Belgium) and discovered his interest in dance and ballet as a child. He received his training in classical and contemporary dance at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. He gained his first stage experience in classical works such as "La Bayadère" (Petipa) and in pieces by contemporary choreographers such as Ihsan Rustem, Altea Nuñez, Juliet Burnett and others. In numerous workshops, he intensified his training in various styles, including the "Gaga" movement technique coined by Ohad Naharin, and studied works by choreographers such as William Forsythe, Jiřì Kylian, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Victor Ketelslegers is also active as a film actor. In 2018, he shone in the role of trans girl Lara in the multi-award-winning feature film "Girl" (including the Un-Certain-Regard jury prize for best actor) by Belgian director Lukas Dhont, which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival. From 2020 to 2023, Victor Ketelsleger was a company member of the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett. He moved to the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani for the 2023/24 season. He is now returning to Nuremberg as a guest for the production of "Der Steppenwolf".
