UY was born in 2013, when Idan Gilony and Fanny Lawaetz arrived in Berlin with €300 and a dream. What began as a personal experiment evolved into a movement where fashion, the body, and nightlife converged. Their minimalist, gender-fluid designs captured the rhythm of the city—pulsating, pared-down, and uncompromisingly alive—and found a natural home in Berlin’s club scene.

In 2017, UY moved into a studio on Pfügerstraße—a space of transformation where workshops, performances, and parties merged into a shared choreography of creativity. Today, UY stands for radical simplicity and creative freedom. The brand has become a multidimensional stage where intimacy and iconography, movement and community engage in dialogue, and fashion is understood as a fusion of rhythm, physicality, and togetherness—an expression of a collective dance.
