Born in France Stella Tozzi began her studies as a professional dancer at the Conservatory for Music and Dance in Lyon, France. In 2013 she danced at the Ballet Nice Méditerranée under the artistic direction of Eric Vu-An. Since 2015 she took part in various workshops with choreographies by Maurice Béjart, Jiří Kylián and Mats Ek. In addition, the dancer completed a DEC (Diploma of Choreographic Studies) at the Nice Regional Conservatory in 2015. In 2017/2018 numerous master classes and workshops followed, including Marco Goecke‘s as part of his play “Nijinsky” at Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo as well as intensive courses with pieces by Alexander Ekman, Nacho Duato, Stijn Celis, Hofesh Shechter. She has worked with assistants from renowned companies such as Aterballetto, the Martha Graham Dance Company and the Ballet de Bailado Brazil. First she was engaged with the Elephant in the Black Box Junior Company (EBB) under the direction of Jean-Philippe Dury and in-house choreographer Marco Blasquez. Subsequently in 2017 she was promoted to the first team of the EBB and danced in choreographies by Marco Goecke (solo in "Nothing"), Jean-Philippe Dury (Mercutio in "Romeo and Juliet" and in "Fado do Retorno") and Francesco Vecchione. Since season 2020/2021 she is a permanent member of the Staatstheater Nuremberg Ballet.
