Matthias Singer is a light artist working at the intersection of art, design and architecture. His work ranges from installations in museums and architectural installations, both temporary and permanent, to stage design and lighting incorporating all kind of light and video systems.

During his studies at the Technical University Munich, he started developing light installations for night clubs which emerged soon into other fields. Using his technical background, he is designing custom electronics for his works, ranging from technical planning and circuit design to programming. This allows him to push the boundaries of interactive and immersive light art, creating installations that not only captivate visually but also integrate cutting-edge technology.

For his works he often collaborates with artists, designers, architects, directors and choreographers. His works were shown at Vitra Design Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum Dundee, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kolumba Museum Cologne, Opera Antwerp, State Opera Berlin and Ruhrtriennale.
