Livia Gil

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Livia Gil began her nine years of ballet education at the Escola Estudal de Dança Maria Olenewa at the Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro. After her successful participation at the Prix de Lausanne in 2012, she was offered a scholarship to train with the English National Ballet School in London, where she graduated in 2014. After graduating, Livia moved to Germany where she was engaged at the Leipzig Ballett, Ballet Augsburg and Hessisches Staatsballet. She was engaged with Richard Siegal / Ballet of Difference at Schauspiel Köln for 5 years and then at the Ballet d L'Opera de Lyon in France.

Her repertoire includes works by Wayne McGregor, Alexander Ekman, Ohad Naharin, Merce Cunningham, Trisha Brown, Lucinda Childs, Christos Papadopoulos, Jeroen Verbruggen, Uwe Scholz,George Balanchine and many more. From the season of 2025/26 she comes back to Siegal this time at Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballet of Difference.
