Alisa Uzu­n­o­va

Alisa was born in Bulgaria. She started her professional education in 2012 at the Royal ballet school of Antwerp and then continued her studies in 2015 for a year in Russia at the Vaganova Ballet Academy where she got to perform in various ballets by Marius Petipa at the Mariinsly theater. She also got to create a piece herself “My Roots” that was performed at the Hermitage Theater. She then moved to Germany in 2016, to the University for Music and Performing Arts in Munich where she graduated and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2018. In her graduation year she participated in the very first choreographic project at Prix De Lausanne where she got to work with and perform a piece by Goyo Montero called “Pulse”. In 2018-2019 she was a guest dancer at Staatsteaher Nurnberg and danced in ‘Midsummer nights dream by Goyo Montero. Her Path took her then to Theater Dortmund for 3 years, where she performed both neo-classical and contemporary repertoire in pieces by Akram Khan, Wayne Mcgregor, Edward Clug, Alexander Ekman, Xin Peng Wang, Wubkje Kuindersma, Marijn Rademaker. She intensified her training in various workshops, including Russian Masters Ballet by Asia Lukmanova, the movement language “GAGA” developed by Ohad Naharin. Alisa Uzunova joined the ensemble of the Staatstheater Nuremberg Ballet in the 2022/23 season.
